Collaborative Online Practice’s interdisciplinary teams of Divorce Professionals guide you through your Divorce, while protecting your financial assets, legal rights, dignity, emotional wellbeing and relationships – without going to court.
Our Divorce Professionals
Our Divorce Professionals are attorneys, financial specialists and licensed mental health professionals — experienced experts in their fields who support families’ arriving at solutions, without the adversarial approaches used in litigation. All COP professionals are trained in both Mediation and the interdisciplinary-team Collaborative Practice Protocols in the areas of Divorce and/or Trusts & Estates.
For a Collaborative Divorce, couples choose their neutral Financial Specialist and neutral Child Specialist together. Each client selects his/her own Attorney and Divorce Coach.
Regardless of the divorce process you choose, meeting with a neutral Financial Specialist to gather and organize all your financial data is often a wise, and cost-effective first step. Our Divorce Associates include Mortgage Brokers and Realtors specializing in divorce, and also trained in both Mediation and Collaborative Divorce. These professionals work with our Financial Specialists to help you understand, ahead of meeting with an attorney, the actual value of your home, and the credit/loan needs of each spouse – critical factors to outlining any agreement you may come to later with your attorney.
To learn more about our professionals, please read their bios. Directly contact and interview any professional to get started.
Collaborative Online Professionals honor human dignity and celebrate diversity. Our Divorce Professionals’ independent practices are located and serve clients throughout the State of California, and are all affiliated with LACFLA.org as well as CPCal.org.
We are proud that so many of COP Professionals have earned The Eureka Award, honoring professionals who “have made significant contributions and demonstrated an abiding dedication to establishing and sustaining Collaborative Practice in California.” CPCAL, the body overseeing Collaborative Practice for California, annually grants this award to only 2-5 Attorneys (ATTYs), Financial Specialists (FSs) and/or mental health professionals (MHPs), who are nominated and selected by their peers throughout the state.
